Our PVC vinyl tarpaulin is not considered "fireproof," but it does have an important characteristic: it is self-extinguishing, meaning it does not spread flames when the heat source is removed. If a material with greater fire resistance is required, a specific design with flame-retardant treatment or that meets technical fire safety standards, such as NBR 9442 or equivalent, can be developed. This type of project is subject to consultation and budget, as it involves special materials and additional technical requirements. Cotton tarpaulin, in its standard version, is not fireproof. It also allows heat exchange between the cargo and the external environment, making it ideal for transporting food, for example. However, it's not a 100% waterproof tarpaulin; it does have treatments that help with water repellency. Vinyl canvas (Master Lona): The tarpaulin should be secured using rings. Ropes or ratchets should not be used directly on the material, as this can fray the PVC. This tarpaulin doesn't allow heat exchange, but it is 100% waterproof.
