Our Story
From a small company's dream to a leading industry.
Since 2008, Matsuko has been transforming PVC tarpaulins and 100% cotton canvas into success stories spanning Brazil.
2008 to 2012: Where it all began.
The start of a journey of pride and growth
Matsuko's journey began in Mairinque (SP), founded by a group of entrepreneurs with the purpose of excellently meeting the demands for products made with vinyl tarpaulins. With a simple structure and a lot of determination, each meter produced reflected effort, learning, and passion for what they did. From the beginning, the company demonstrated a bold vision: to take its brand and products throughout Brazil.2013 to 2014
From Mairinque to Sorocaba: the step that changed everything.
With increased demand and the trust of new clients, Matsuko realized it was ready to grow. In 2011, a phase of expansion and strengthening began, and with it, the move to Sorocaba - SP. More space, more structure, and a new stage of planned and sustainable growth.
2015
Matsuko Transforms into an Industry.
In 2015, the company took a leap in innovation by starting its own laminate production. The focus shifted to quality, technology, and efficiency, consolidating the brand as a benchmark in the sector. Every strategic decision was made responsibly, and each achievement reinforced the purpose that guides the company to this day.2016 to 2019
Arrival of 100% Cotton Tarpaulins
Between 2016 and 2019, Matsuko significantly expanded its portfolio and strengthened its presence in the national market. During this period, cotton tarpaulins were already part of our volumes, consolidating themselves as one of the company's main products. The diversity of applications and the quality recognized by the market reinforced Matsuko's commitment to innovation and delivering complete solutions to customers. Focusing on productivity and technical improvement, the company invested in new processes, technology, and team training, paving the way for the advances that would come in the following years.
2020
The Arrival of Texima: A New Chapter in Tarpaulin Production
The year 2020 marked a major turning point in Matsuko's history with the creation of Texima, a dedicated sector for the production of tarpaulins. This move represented much more than an industrial expansion; it was a strategic step towards productive autonomy and technical specialization within the group. Until then, the company's operations were divided between Sorocaba and Cerquilho, which made processes more complex and decentralized. With the arrival of Texima, Matsuko unified and strengthened its structure, forming a robust department with high production capacity and a total focus on quality and performance. The new unit was born with a clear purpose: to concentrate the manufacture of Matsuko tarpaulins in an integrated, efficient, and technologically prepared environment to meet market demands with even greater agility and precision. The creation of Texima symbolized innovation, maturity, and a vision for the future, consolidating Matsuko as a national benchmark in the manufacture of PVC and cotton tarpaulins, and reaffirming its commitment to continuous evolution without losing the essence of those who build with their own hands.2021
Color Compound Factory
In 2021, Matsuko took another decisive step towards innovation and productive self-sufficiency: it built an independent factory dedicated to the development and production of its own color compound. This strategic investment allowed the company to precisely control each stage of the formulation and pigmentation of the materials, ensuring greater standardization, performance, and quality in tarpaulins and canvases. The new structure also brought agility to production processes, cost reduction, and flexibility to meet customized demands, reinforcing Matsuko's commitment to technology, quality, and industrial excellence. More than a physical expansion, this achievement symbolized the consolidation of a culture of continuous innovation, strengthening the company's technical capacity and productive independence in an increasingly demanding market.
2020 to 2024
Challenges, Resilience, and Continuous Evolution
Between 2020 and 2024, the world faced one of the most challenging periods in recent history. The pandemic brought uncertainty, transformation, and the need for adaptation in all sectors, and Matsuko was no exception. Even in the face of difficulties, the company maintained its commitment to growth and innovation. With strategic planning and unity among the teams, it was possible to ensure the continuity of operations, preserve jobs, and continue advancing in industrial projects initiated in previous years. While the market slowed down, Matsuko took advantage of the moment to strengthen internal processes, improve management, and invest in new production technologies, preparing for a new cycle of expansion. The period also reinforced the importance of caring for people, collaboration, and the ability to reinvent oneself—values that are now part of the company's essence. Emerging stronger from the crisis was the greatest result of this phase: Matsuko showed that resilience and purpose are the pillars that support true growth.2025 and the Future
